For the 33rd consecutive year, and in conjunction with “National Volunteer Recognition Month,” the Macomb County Board of Commissioners recognized and express appreciation for the valuable contributions made by volunteers residing in – or whose efforts benefit – Macomb County. Each year, commissioners identify publicly nominated individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Macomb County. Those nominated are recognized for their generosity, commitment and dedication of time. Created and chosen by the Older Adult Advisory Committee, the Senior Volunteer of the Year award is an additional award given to a senior volunteer that stood out from the others.
