About Jeff

Commissioner Jeff Farrington was elected to the Macomb County Board of Commissioners in November of 2020 for his first two year term (2021-22). As the Commissioner for District 6, Farrington represents portions of Shelby Township and the City of Utica,.

Farrington’s career began in the recruiting and staffing industry, where he reached the level of Vice President of a national firm. He then left the corporate world to become an entrepreneur, starting a professional recruiting and staffing company, which since has been sold.  Farrington also has several years of experience in the public sector; he served as the State Representative for District 30 (Utica, Shelby Township and Sterling Heights) for six years. He is currently an Area President for FocusCFO, which is a regional firm providing part-time CFOs for small businesses.

As a Macomb County Commissioner Farrington wants to lend his experiences in both the public and private sectors to make Macomb the best place to live, work and raise a family.  His areas of interest also support this goal; those interests include  leadership, mentoring, budgeting, organizational development, the intersection of people, strategy and finances, and helping others grow.

Farrington resides in Utica with his wife Diana in the home they built and raised their family in. They have two adult sons, a daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
